The overall subdued colors of this picture caught my attention. I then noticed the lights in the interior, which stand out from the blues and greys of the rest of the photo. The perspective or point of view from which the picture was taken is also interesting. It sort of puts you in the place of a young child, looking up at the interior of this building. As if you are peering into the doorway with curiosity, wondering what place this doorway leads you to.
I am drawn to the reflection of lights on the ground outside the doorway. They are bright colors against the drab and dark stone, also they are christmas colors so they remind me of holidays and celebrations. I find it very interesting that the room is empty which make me feel like everyone is in another room or have gone to sleep leaving the empty and yet warm celebratory atmosphere. This image makes me feel calm and happy and excited to be a part of the love and celebration.
